What every guided hunt includes

You bring your weapon and your tag. We handle the country, the camp, and the pack-out.

01

Scouted Units

We scout our Rampart Range and Front Range units year-round — knowing where the elk feed, where the bucks bed, and how they move through the season is the whole game.

02

Camp & Lodging

Comfortable backcountry camps or lodging depending on the hunt, with meals in the field. You hunt hard and rest well.

03

Calling & Spot-and-Stalk

Archery elk over a bugle in September, careful glassing and spot-and-stalk for mature mule deer. Your guide reads the animals and sets up the shot.

04

Tag & Draw Strategy

We help you build preference points, apply for the right draw units, and find OTC opportunities — well ahead of the deadlines.

05

Field Care & Pack-Out

Proper field dressing, quartering, and packing your animal off the mountain. We get your meat out cooled and clean.

06

Why Hunt Guided

Local knowledge is the whole hunt.

Colorado is big, public, and pressured. The difference between a great hunt and a long week of seeing nothing is knowing the country — and that's what we bring. Our guides scout these units all year, so when you arrive, we already know where the animals are and how they're moving.

A guided hunt also takes the logistics and the heavy lifting off your plate. We handle camp, tag strategy, the stalk, and — when you connect — the field care and pack-out that turns a successful shot into meat in the cooler.

"I scout these units all summer so opening morning isn't a guess. When a bull steps into the open at first light — that's the moment we work all year for."

— Marisol Vega, Lead Hunt Guide
Questions

Hunt FAQ

Do I need a tag, and can you help me draw one?
Yes — every hunter needs the appropriate Colorado tag. We help you navigate it: which units to apply for, how the draw and preference-point system works, and where over-the-counter (OTC) tags are available. Plan ahead — draw deadlines come early in the year, so the sooner you book and talk strategy with us, the better your odds of the right tag.
What's included in a guided hunt?
Your guide, lodging or backcountry camp, meals in the field, glassing and calling, the spot-and-stalk, and full field care and pack-out of your animal. You bring your weapon, ammunition or broadheads, broken-in boots, weather layers, and your tag. We send a complete packing list and a pre-hunt call once you book.
Archery or rifle — which season should I hunt?
Archery elk in September is hard to beat — bulls are bugling and a good caller can bring one in close. Rifle seasons run October into November with their own advantages in range and weather. We guide both. Tell us your experience and weapon and we'll recommend the season and unit that fits.
How physically demanding is a backcountry hunt?
Elk and mule deer hunting in the Front Range is real mountain hunting — expect early mornings, altitude, and miles on foot over rough country. You don't need to be an elite athlete, but you should arrive in good walking shape with boots you've broken in. We tailor the daily effort to your fitness and let you know honestly what to expect.
What happens after I harvest an animal?
Your guide handles the hard part: proper field dressing, quartering, and packing the animal off the mountain. We get your meat cooled and out cleanly, and can point you to trusted local processors and taxidermists. Getting the animal off the mountain right is one of the biggest reasons to hunt guided.
